Reset — Restart

There is so little on the idea of starting again. By pressing the reset button. We need to know what to do when everything is pointing us back to the starting line. It can be so overwhelming. Especially when you are surrounded by people taking another lap, another baton. The race of life might never make sense oh. But you need to have a compass.

When I find myself backed into a corner, I don’t do the needed reset. More often than not, I am wrapped in the thoughts of firing on, pressing on, not giving up and all that comes with that gospel. LOL. Recipe for disaster. But hey, this is just me. I am stubborn in listening to the solid and sound advice of my best friend. My best friend who is never wrong. So many times, we want to be taken to the starting line kicking and screaming, or beaten and battered. It doesn’t have to be this way. So how do you learn when you need to keep going or restart?

You would do yourself a favour not to think there is one long list of dos and don’ts. You have to learn to pay attention to what is going on within and around you. Believers, listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Stop trying to tough it out alone. That is not your journey. Humans thrive in like-minded groups. Pay attention to the course of your journey. Picture your life like a graph (this might not be helpful to many but oh well).

As a Christian, I find myself forced into the reset space whenever I am drifting off my chart or my mission. I believe God nudges me, gently and when I ignore the gentle and subtle ones, directly. I am given the unwanted gift of a timeout. Whoosh. Boy does it help me and all the people whose lives I ought to make an impact in. I think that my little musing will come to an end right here. Please find your ground zero and check how you are doing. I hope you journey well.

Love, Ballie💖
